Exciting Times for BBA
This year's (2010) Deacons' Banquet was a great big bunch of fun!!! On the night of June 3rd, FBC of Melbourne hosted the "Country Western Gatherning." We had an evening of country western fun!!! There was lots of laughter with comedy and entertaining music, followed by an incredibly inspiring guest speaker, Dr. Adam Greenway. Dr. Greenway is a professor at Southern Seminary, a former pastor and has a loving heart for pastors and the church!
Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to dress in their favorite jeans and western wear! The food was wonderful - the room was beautifully decorated, complete with old-fashioned hurricane lamps on the tables.
A BIG "Thank You" to all the folks at FBC, Melbourne for everything done to make this year's event such a wonderful success!

The theme this year for VBS from LifeWay is ""Saddle Ridge Ranch" - and the training for all the workers was held Tuesday, March 9th at FBC Indialantic. There were approximately 85 people in attendance at the event, with 13 churches represented. VBS is going to be wonderful this year! It's going to be fun - as always - and promises to be a week that will enrich our boys' and girls' lives, impacting them in ways that will make a difference for eternity!

The "Buckets of Hope" project was a great success! We collected over 330 buckets and they were picked up by a Florida Baptist Convention volunteer and delivered to the collection center. From there, they were processed and added to thousands of others for delivery to Haiti. Each bucket contained enough food items to feed a family of four for one month. Thanks to everyone and to every church who participated in this relief effort!
